Katie Green "Hear that Whistle Blow" 12-28-10

Storytellers Katie Green and Bob Reiser will present Hear that Whistle Blow: America's Fabled Railroad Years in Story and Song  at the Beaman Memorial Library at 2 PM on Tuesday, December 28. This performance will appeal to any and all who are interested in trains. Katie and Bob will celebrate heroes, heroines, scoundrels and the everyday folk who worked and traveled on America's railroads.

These stories about America's railroads will encourage adults to tell stories of their own railroad experiences. They will motivate young people to learn more about the role that railroads played in our country's development.

Katie Green, from Princeton, Massachusetts, is a national award winning storyteller. She has presented performances and workshops at the National Storytelling Conference and many storytelling festivals. Bob Reiser lives in Western Massachusetts. He tells stories throughout the United States and has appeared at the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesboro, Tennessee.

This program is funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, as administered by the West Boylston Cultural Council. In case of snow, the performance will be at the same time on Thursday, December 30.

Grab your coat and hat and join us!  ALLLLLLLLLLLLL Aboard!!!
