Community Art Exhibit Opportunities

Call for Artists

Last year, the Princeton Arts Society began sponsoring one person shows within the Princeton Community. In 2010, the work of ten member artists were showcased at two locations including the Princeton Branch of the Barre Bank and Bagg Hall. In addition we had two special shows, one featuring a sampling of art work by students from the Thomas Prince School and one featuring the award winners of the PAS Spring Art Exhibit.

Currently, a theme show titled "Under the Trees" featuring the work of Doris Carter is on display at both locations and is scheduled to end January 14.

This is a call for artists who would like to display their work within the community. Interested artists can contact Len Haug at len.haug@princeton-ma.us or may call him at 978-464-2952.

At present three of the four following three-month rotational timeframes are available:

• January 17 through April 15, 2011
• April 18 through July 15, 2011 (NOTE: This time period is currently reserved for Thomas Prince School student shows)
• July 18 through October 14, 2011
• October 17, 2011 through January 15, 2012

Artist needs to have 12-15 framed pieces of art ready for hanging. PAS carries no insurance and neither PAS, Barre Bank, nor the Town of Princeton would be liable for any loss or damage to art work on display. PAS hangs these shows and receives its standard commission (25%) for any sales.

Regards,
