2012 Princeton/Wachusett Calendar

2012 PRINCETON/WACHUSETT CALENDAR
Hot off the Press! The first 2012 Princeton/Wachusett calendar produced by the Princeton Arts Society and Mass Audubon Wachusett Meadow Wildlife Sanctuary will be available for sale this Saturday at Hey Day, October 1, 11am - 4 pm. The calendar features the work of 29 local artists and includes 13 pages of frameable art. Proceeds benefit the Princeton Arts Society and Mass Audubon Wachusett Meadow. Open Call to Artists

The Artists' Group of the Sprinkler Factory is proud to announce its third annual December show, entitled "No Themes - No Limits." Important dates to note are:

Submission deadline is November 5, 2011.
Notification of acceptance is November 12, 2011.
Delivery of accepted work is November 19 and 20, 2011.
Opening reception is December 3, 2011.

Audubon Hey Day 2011


Congratulations to Emilie Astell

Emilie Astell was recently juried into the highly competitive 2011 Concord Art Association Frances N. Roddy Open Competition with her work, "All My Children". Of over 585 entries, only 85 were selected. The opening reception was held on Sep 15th and the show runs through October 16. Len Haug's "Aunt Lotti - The Hat Lady" was also juried into the show.

Slate Art

SLATE ART

Create and donate a slate painting for our upcoming Holiday Small Works Exhbiit and Sale!

Thanks to Dave Stromberg for providing the slates. 30 slates are now ready in the PAS center building room.

Sign you name and take a slate. Return your completed work of art by the end of November. We will add the leather strap to hang and display and sell your work at our annual small works exhibit and sale the first week end in December.

Members can pick up the slates anytime during scheduled portrait group sessions (Tuesdays 9:30 to 12:30) or make special arrangements with Len via contact@princetonarts.org.

All proceeds will benefit the Princeton Arts Society.

Worcester Windows Reception

Join the Worcester Cultural Coalition for an Opening Reception of the newest installation of the Worcester Windows Community Gallery on Friday, September 16th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at 60 Franklin Street, Worcester, overlooking historic Worcester Common. Reception will include complimentary refreshments, live entertainment by Jazz Trane of the Joy of Music Program, along with walking tours of the community gallery footprint. Reception is FREE and open to the public.

Worcester Windows is a community gallery program which uses storefronts throughout downtown Worcester as exhibit space to enhance the City's downtown and to provide display opportunities for local emerging and established artists. Two Princeton Arts Society members are involved in the current exhibits.

Kathy Hebert - Kathy's original oil paintings which include landscape, still life, and portrait are on display at Lucky's Café, 102 Grove Street, and Commerce Associates, 340 Main Street. Kathy has been painting for over 40 years and has a studio in Worcester where she teaches adults how to be artists. Judy Tyler - Judy's photograph "Open for Business" is on display at Worcester City Hall, 455 Main Street as part of the Worcester Photography Group's exhibit entitled, "Architecture of Worcester." Access to the exhibit area is from the parking garage behind Worcester City Hall.
