Local Poet Reads June 8

Worcester poet Patricia Youngblood will read from her works at the Princeton Arts Society, 18 Boylston Ave., Princeton, on Sunday June 8 at 2 p.m. Youngblood’s work has been published in The Worcester Review, Clockhouse Review and Worcester Magazine. She won the Frank O’Hara Prize for Poetry in 2011 and is a recent Pushcart Prize nominee.

She is also a member of 4X4, a Worcester area collaborative of four poets and four visual artists who find inspiration in each other’s work. The group has had three gallery exhibitions of their paired efforts since 2010.

A former Holden resident, Youngblood was a Landmark reporter and editor for several years before becoming content editor at Furniture.com in Worcester and Bose.com in Framingham.

This event is made possible in part by a grant from the Princeton Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. The public is welcome. The event is free, but donations to the Princeton Arts Society are tax-deductible and always gratefully received. For more information, email contact@princetonarts.org.
