One hundred pieces of unique handmade art made by more than sixty artists will be auctioned over a three day period. Handmade For Japan aims to raise over $25,000 to help the victims of this disaster recover.

Global Giving

Why Global Giving?
Handmade for Japan will donate all of its net proceeds to Global Giving because they support grass root organizations active in stricken areas who may otherwise be overlooked by traditional foundations. We were quickly convinced that Global Giving's use of online networking is a highly versatile, flexible, and rapid way to organize international donation efforts. Moreover, this approach allows donors to be kept updated on the use of funds. Global Giving's dynamic team played an important role in supporting the start-up efforts of Handmade for Japan. As testimony to the reputation of Global Giving, its Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund is endorsed by ABC News, the New York Times, Huffington Post, and Time Magazine. Global Giving's updates on use of funds can be monitored at: www.globalgiving.org/projects/japan-earthquake-tsunami-relief/updates/

PAS needs help with painting our new digs

Hello to all of you,
Our future and new beginning is a reality! We hauled all of our junk down to the first floor this last weekend. We threw out a few things and gained a few others. The next task is adding display hanging molding, etc. and some electrical work. Both of those are in process.

I would like to invite you to join us on Saturday, March 12 at 9:00am to begin painting the room. We have a great deal of work to do, but I think you will all be happy with the results. This room has a lot of character. If you can make it, would you please send me email at susan@ulrichspacek.com. I will respond with a note about the specifics of the day.

If anyone is interested in making a donation to help defray the cost of the move, it would be greatly appreciated. We have gotten some help with the paint, but other paint supplies may need to be purchased and we have material costs for the display molding, wallboard, electrician and rug cleaning. You can send a check to Princeton Arts Society, P.O. Box 28, Princeton, MA 01541.

I hope to see you on the 12th(send me mail) - Thanks - Susan
