Excursion-River Paddle and Paint

Join local artist Matthew Gray, along with canoe guides from Nashoba Paddler www.nashobapaddler.com of Groton, for a relaxing fall afternoon exploring the plant and wildlife of the Squannacook River. The Squannacook River is the gem of the Nashua River Watershed. Its narrow, twisting passage meanders through areas of lily ponds and woodlands. The reflections of autumn foliage enhance the special beauty of this river. Bring a sketchbook and camera to record scenic views of the river and surrounding landscape.  No previous canoeing or drawing experience necessary.

Trip difficulty: Easy, flat-water, 4 miles roundtrip.
Excursion departs from Groton, MA.

For children over age 12 and adults.

Fitchburg Art Museum members $60, non-members $75.
Limited to 12: Registration required.
